The name, Earrings Off!, has two very powerful connotations.

In Africa, earrings hold magical, supernatural significance. That specific piece of jewelry heralds the promise of magnificent, unexpected occurrences. Additionally, in African American culture, it is well known that when a woman says “Let me take my earrings off” it means that we will take on the posture of battle; the cause before us is too great, too important not to fight with every fiber of our being. 

Through our podcast, Earrings Off! we will share knowledge in an effort to unlock our magic. As African American women we will fight for the health and well-being of ourselves, our families, our community and our nation. That unwavering position serves as the impetus for Earrings Off!  Together, we fight for the magic to come. Join us!
