It’s been a year! Time really flies. Seems just like yesterday that my infrared sauna was delivered. It has been a very good year with the sauna. It was money well spent and I don’t have any regrets and am looking forward to many more years with my sauna. Well, if there was one complaint… I should have thought twice before convincing my husband who hates heat that the infrared heat was different and much more tolerable because he is in MY sauna much too often!
What is far infrared sauna?
Far infrared saunas use infrared lamps that warm the body directly. The rays are said to penetrate 1.5” into the body inducing 2-3 times more perspiration. Where conventional saunas heat the air before heating the body.
Benefits infrared saunas.
Detoxification – The heat penetrates the skin causing you to sweat. Sweating is one of the body’s primay ways of eliminating toxins. This benefit is debated. But I tell you, I feel detoxed after each session.
Pain Relief – The heat generated by infrared saunas can help reduce pain and inflammation in the body. For this reason, infrared saunas are recommended for folks suffering with chronic pain conditions like arthritis.
Stress Relief – The heat promotes relaxation by helping to balance the body’s stress hormones. The heat helps to relax your muscles and relieve tension.
Improved Sleep – After a session, your body is completely relaxed. At night the brain is triggered that your body is ready to sleep. Studies show that your sleep is deeper and more restful after a session.
Improved Skin – The heat can improve your skin health. The increased blood flow to the skin helps to deliver nutrients and oxygen with promotes healthy cells and reduction wrinkles and fine lines. Sweating may also unclog pores helping to reduce acne and other skin conditions.
I personally have benefited greatly in all of the ways mentioned. My husband’s flexibility and stiffness that he was experiencing is gone. The soreness that we both experienced after long hard work outs and long days of working in the yard are no more when followed by a sauna session.
In conclusion, infrared saunas offer a wide range of health benefits. From detoxification and stress relief to improved sleep and skin, there are numerous reasons to consider incorporating regular sauna sessions into your wellness routine. Whether you're looking to improve your physical health, mental health, or overall well-being, an infrared sauna may be just what you need!
